Employee Profile: Operations Department—Wang Jina

As autumn deepens, boxes upon boxes of honey oranges—bottles of sunlight condensed—begin to circulate throughout the office area. Those oranges, coated with a delicate layer of frost and still bearing the misty dew of the mountains and fields, release an exquisitely sweet aroma when sliced open—a warmth that transcends thousands of miles.

At first, I thought these were autumnal benefits procured by the company. Later, I happened to learn the story behind them. It turns out that this was a kind gesture from the company—supporting a student from a poor mountainous region whose family makes a living by growing navel oranges. To express their gratitude toward the company, every autumn we receive carefully selected “gratitude oranges.”

This tiny orange is just like a clear mirror—company’s humanistic care is not only reflected in employees’ benefits but also extends to its sense of social responsibility. By supporting students from underprivileged backgrounds, these initiatives have instilled in every employee a spirit of kindness and empathy that extends beyond themselves. As we savor the fruit’s sweet-and-sour flesh, what blossoms on our tongues is not merely the fragrance of the fruit, but also the warmth of goodwill being passed on.

This incident deeply touched me: a small act of kindness in life can perhaps change someone else’s destiny. And I, too, should carry forward this spirit of kindness—no matter how small our power may be. “Never dismiss a good deed as too small to make a difference,” so that more people can feel warmth and hope.
